What can you do to minimize data usage on I phone?

Go to Settings>Cellular>Use Cellular Data For: and see what apps are using cellular data. Restrict usage. The phone will only use data for those apps you allow it to use. Then make sure you are using wi-fi wherever possible to help reduce your cellular data usage. If you are overly concerned, then turn cellular data off completely.
