How long should I charge my Apple Watch

I have an Apple Watch series 2 and I use about 20 to 30% of the charge during the day. Is it safe to leave it on charge overnight (up to 9 hours)?

Reason for the query is that I have recently had a bulging battery issue with an MBP (which Apple are repairing, thank you) and I'm am reading that this may be due to leaving it plugged in all the time and I'd rather this didn't happen with my watch.

Yes I have read that, it doesn't say much about what would happen if I just left it (or my other devices) plugged in though.

Exactly. Because nothing will happen.

Interesting - my Late 2013 MBP had a battery cycle count of 45, well below the expected 1000 and there was a suggestion that keeping it continually plugged in contributed to the battery failure.

If there's something to look out for, Apple will put it in the doc.
