Question

I can't add a new email account to iCal to create a new calendar, on any of my devices, Mac, MBP, iPad Pro or iPhone

Im trying (and have been for a while) to add a new email accounts to ical so I can accept appointment into my calendar etc.

The two different accounts Ive tried are basic email accounts

Ive tried on each of my devices and none of them will allow me to add a calendar. Im getting a message saying unable to verify email address or password.

Both the email address function properly.

Anyone got any ideas?

Should I delete and re install iCal from everywhere?

How are you trying to "add a new email account?"

Presuming you are using macOS Sierra, are you using the procedure listed in: macOS Sierra: Use your social media and other Internet accounts on your Mac?

I reviewed the steps listed in: macOS Sierra: Internet Accounts System Preferences, and looked at them in my preferences. Not all of those which I use contain a calendar preference. Yahoo for example, has one, Comcast does not. May that be the case with those which you are trying to add?

Back to your first post...delete/re-install of iCal/Calendar will not be a solution.

Ive added them both as a mail account in Internet accounts but I don't get the option to check them as calendar accounts, and still can't add them through calendar preferences as calendar accounts...

Sounds like that maybe the answer? They don't support addition to iCal?
