I tried 'iCloud Photo Library' feature then went back to switching it off and all my live photos disappeared from camera roll. How can I retrieve them? They are still showing in memories but without the live view.

Are your photos still in iCloud, or did you erase iCloud Photo Library, when you disabled it?
If you did not erase iCloud Photo Library, turn it on again, but make sure, that "Optimize Storage" is disabled. Then wait for your Live Photos to sync back.
Once all photos have synced back, including the full resolution originals, check the "recently deleted album and recover all photos that are still available, then turn iCloud Photo Library off again.
Thank you very much for your response. All the missing images are still showing in the 'Moments' view of iCloud library (without the live view option), so I guess they do exist on a level. I enabled 'iCloud Photo Library' again and unticked 'Optimization'. But the missing live photos don't come back to my 'All Photos' library nor to my 'Recently Deleted' folder. Also 'All Photos' library is a mess - there's no chronological order anymore.
I have the same problem and I think because of the same reason. I haven't used iCloud Photo Library while traveling since February, because I never had a decent internet connection. I switched iCloud Photo Library on a couple of days ago and switched it off again after a while, because it slowed down the internet so much. Now all the live photos from four months (February-May) are gone, they are not on the iPhone SE nor in iCloud, when I open it on a PC. Panoramas and videos from that time are still there. I tried a recovery tool, but they didn't show up. And the oldest iCloud backup I could chose from was from Wednesday, so they weren't in there either. Any chance to get them back?
