iTunes store prompts for previous id

Hi guys

I was forced to change the apple id (email address associated) recently once after I couldn't recover the gmail address. I made a full backup using iTunes, upgraded the device (iPhone 6s) to latest IOS & restored the backup to the device.

My iCloud account shows the new id and all sync are working perfectly, but itunes store. I keep on getting a prompt asking me to log on to the previous id, iTunes & App Stores settings also shows the current apple id. The only one thing I find strange until this moment is, there are few apps those are showing "Waiting", which I suspect were downloaded using the previous id. Should this is be the reason for the store keeping on asking me to log on to the previous id?
