Apple ID Account Recovery and bank card details

Hello

I have forgotten my Apple ID , so I started the account recovery process where it was asked my card details and security code?! Is that normal practice?

Because I was concerned about the fact I have given my card details, I checked my email and there was an email from Apple that stated the account recovery was requested but if I want to cancel it and keep account secure, I should click on link for it.... I did and the error message of 403 forbidden came up and underneath it said Shield?

Any advice or help please?

worried that my account have been compromised and that there would be financial damage too?
