car play

I have an iphone 7 plus and a Chevy Cruze 2017 model.

The car and phone are compatible for Car play.

I used the car play on my chevy cruze for 2 months and then it suddenly stopped working.

I showed the car to dealer, but the dealer says the usb port is working fine, might be some issue with iphone software. He has a device to test the usb port that says the recorded message as "USB port is functioning properly".

But I am unable to connect my iphone with the USB port and cannot use carplay option (though it was working earlier).

I tried the same with different cables and different phones, but no success.

How do we go ahead with this case, as chevy trusts their device, and that device has some recorded message. But I am not able to use the intended functionality of the car or iphone?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.3.2, car chevy cruze 2017

Hello,

Get help

If CarPlay doesn't work like you expect, here’s what you can check. After each step, try using CarPlay again.

  1. Make sure that Siri is turned on.
  2. Restart your iPhone and your car. Depending on your car, you might see the CarPlay Home screen when you turn it on. If you don't, look for the CarPlay logo on your car’s display.
  3. If possible, connect your iPhone to a different USB port in your car.
  4. Try a different Lightning to USB cable. Make sure that the cable is certified.
  5. Update to the latest version of iOS.
  6. Check your car’s manual for help. You might need to install firmware updates for your stereo.
