Does a graphic designer need 256 gb or 512 gb

I'm a graphic designer and plan on getting the iPad Pro 2nd generation 12.9, but I'm stuck on what storage size to get. I don't download movies, and I empty my camera roll regularly into another computer. I only have a little bit of music saved. Is the iPad Pro slower using the 256 gb? Also, is there any way to save App files onto something else other than the App itself so that I don't use up tons of memory?

Thanks!

If you now use a computer how much storage space do you use on it? You will need that and more on a new device. Remember that iDevices do not have expandable storage.

You cannot change how documents are stored since that is built into the OS. You can upload documents to iCloud, however, which may save space. But then you must restore it to the device in order to use it.

I am an illustrator/digital painter with graphic design experience and I have been getting along fine with 64 GB and recently, 128 GBs storage iPads.

I would have gotten the 1st gen 12.9 iPad Pro in 256 GBs of storage, IF it had been offered sooner (more data space is always desirable), but had to settlemon the 128 GBs storage model.

If you can afford the 512 GBs storage model, go for it!

If not, go for the 256 GBs of storage. It won't fill up that quick!

I still have approx. 40 GBs left on my 128 GBs storage iPad Pro.

I love my 1st gen iPad Pro!

Good Luck to You!
