Using a 'Vanilla' Visa gift card unauthorized purchases?

We received a $50 Visa gift card. We purchased $34 at itunes. We recently tried to purchase 4 more songs and were told there was a problem. Went to edit the billing info and kept being told we were using an invalid security code. It is correct. We the just checked the balance on this card and there is a purchase 'pending' for $35! It's not ours. It shows a -$20 something balance. Does anyone have any idea how to get this straightened out with itunes? They are saying we owe them $4 dollars. Is it possible someone could get credit information from our account and use it? Im glad it wasn't a personal credit card. Any suggestions?

I'm a bit confused by your post. You say that you purchased 34 songs using your Visa gift card, but then are wondering why there shows a pending transaction on it for $35.00? Why do you think the pending charge isn't the tracks you purchased? Or do you mean that the card balance shows the charge for the tracks plus a pending $35.00 charge? If that's the case, contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. If the confirm that the problem was a double-billing on their end, they should then issue a credit to your account.
