stop iPhone updates

The most annoying thing on iPhones is the updates via wi-fi. iPhone downloads the software itself even without asking permission for it and asks to be installed during the sleep time. Some people wake up and their phones keeps rebooting or doesn't turn on and that's due to this **** update over Wi-Fi. There used to be a way to stop this by installing apple tv profile on iphone and it blocked all the following updates because it was confusing iPhone itself (link - hikay.github.io/app/NOOTA.mobileconfig).

At this time there is no way of stopping this but to keep your iPhone with up to date software, but for me, iPhone 6S user, it will slow down my phone and it will make me buy another iPhone in about a year because it is gonna be way to slow. I really hope apple figures this out and make it available to downgrade to any software of our choosing, for God's sake we pay for phones and we want to be able to do anything with it.

If anyone knows how to stop these annoying iOS updates please let me know. Thank you

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.3

go to http://apple.com/feedback if you want to leave direct feedback for Apple. this is a forum where other users help each other to troubleshoot.

as far as updates go, it will give you sometime to select not now for the update, but eventually you will have to. to stop it from automatically installing you would go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Updates (turn off). but keep in mind that by not having these updates you are leaving yourself vulnerable to exploits and bugs that could make your experience hindered. Apple wants it's customers happy, safe and secure. the updates are for a reason. your iPhone 6S is not going to be unusable in a year. stop exaggerating and being paranoid.
