Apple TV asking for airplay password I don't have
My apple TV that I have had for a while is suddenly asking for a password. How do I get the password. I don't ever remember setting up the Apple TV up for a password

Thank you Winston, however my security is still set to None. I continue to get the same prompt. " Enter the AirPlay code for "Apple TV". We have had this TV for a few years and this is the first time we have had this problem. I have a Samsung TV LED46. When I enter Screen Mirroring I get a message Ready for connection. To get started, launch AllShare Cast on your device. I'm wondering if an update with Samsung is blocking my ability to use the apple TV.
Hi flygirl10. The AirPlay passcode is displayed on the TV screen.
Which Apple TV do you have?
I have a 3rd generation Apple TV
Then you should be able to disable the requirement for a password at Settings ➔ AirPlay ➔ Security ➔ None.
What are you doing exactly when you get this message? What do you mean by screen mirroring?
