How to remove square with question mark instead of images in Pages
In a Pages report I have squares with question marks where images should be. How do I remove?

HI rg,
The ? in a square means Pages can't locate the image that is supposed to be in that location.
If you want to remove the symbol, try this:
Click away from the symbol to deselect it (and any other objects), then click the symbol to select it. Press delete.

Barry
Can you select the square? When selected, does it show x at each corner? If so, the object has been locked. With the object selected, go to the Arrange menu, and choose Unlock. You should then be able to delete it.

Barry
Lest we give you wrong information, please share the explicit version of Pages that you are using.
Assuming Pages v5, or v6, then select View menu : Show Invisibles. Are there x's around the square that you described? If so, it is locked and unchangeable — until you click Unlock at the bottom of the Arrange tab.
Thanks Viking
Have decided to re-do this page. Have copied all text to new document page and have re-entered alternative images.
Now just have to be able to slot it back in position after deleting problem page.
Thanks to all.
Hi Barry
Appreciate your help but no luck.
It is a grey square with diagonals and ? in centre.
In the two instances the square/rectangle seems to replicate the size of the original images.

Bob
Sorry, no crosses. When selected there is no reaction - remains immobile no matter what I do!
