Using AppleScript for Visual Studio Code

i would like to use AppleScript to create new documents with content picked up from excel cells (or any other application which it will support) in Visual Studio Code. Also the name of the file has to be in .markdown format with the prefix to be picked up from another set of excel cells. The excel cells will keep changing after every save.
