iphone5 white squares across top of screen

I have just renewed the battery. Initially, the screen was normal and then, for no obvious reason, white squares have appeared across the top of the screen - sometimes strong and sometimes weak.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Phone and Messaging seems the closest category to this issue.

Hi

Who replaced the battery If it wasn't apple or an approved service agent then apple will not help you.

Try a reboot press the power button down on iPhone &menu button hold both down until you see apple logo this can take 30 seconds.

You may need to restore back to factory settings?
