How can i connect PCI Cards to my iMac ?

Hi there,

I wanted to buy some UAD(Plug-Ins) PCI cards for my Home Recording Studio, but as far as I know, there is no way I can expand my iMac in such a way.

Does anybody knows a way to insert/install/integrate a PCI/PCIe card to the iMac ?

PS. MacWorld is just days appart.... hopefully they will unveil a new iMac with a new motherboard and more possibilites to expand the system 🙂

It is not possible to add PCI cards to an iMac. If you need expansion of this type a Mac Pro would be the better choice as it has multiple slots.

There may be some sort of breakout box that you could attach but it is going to be real slow if anything is available at all and probably not fast enough for your audio work.
