Pairing Apple Watch with iPhone 6

I have an iPhone 6 running IOS 10.3.3 which is the last update out right now. I bought an Apple Watch Nike edition Series 2 42mm and tried to pair it. As I put it to pair and it asks to scan the code on the Apple Watch, I get a pop up stating my phone is out of date, under it it says cancel pairing or update. I click update and another pop up comes up and says...phone is up to date. So my phone is up to date...butbit won't pair. I have reset the Apple Watch to factory setting to the point where I have to put in language etc. I have done a hard reset to my phone and still I get the same messages. Any help will be appreciated! Thank you

Hi

It may help to follow the steps here under "Get help":

Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support

If your Apple Watch has previously been running watchOS 4 developer beta, then watchOS cannot be downgraded by the user and the Apple Watch cannot be paired to an iPhone running iOS 10.x. Your options are:

  • Wait for the public version of iOS 11 to be released, then update your iPhone and re-pair your Apple Watch.
  • Install iOS 11 beta on your iPhone and then pair your Apple Watch:
  • Contact Apple Support or make a Genius Bar reservation to establish your options for downgrading the software on your Apple Watch.
