How do I remove paypal as my payment method?

I had my credit card saved as my payment method and then changed to PayPal to use another card that was stored there. It prevented other family members in family sharing from updating their apps as family sharing is not compatible with PayPal but now when I try to update the payment method by clicking on MasterCard and adding my card details, it goes back to the summary screen and says payment method is PayPal still.

Then when I go to update the details it shows the screen below..... so now I am unable to change my payment method on my iPhone, iPad, MacBook or iMac away from PayPal and have had to delete my family members so they have lost sharing access just so they can update their apps.

How do I get rid of the payment method as PayPal? This is a terrible fault with a basic setting in iTunes account and I just hope an update will sort it out or someone else can help?

I seems to be a viscous cycle and it also when logged on my macbook in itunes store says go

I found the solution to this! Go through the setup for Family Sharing as normal from an Apple Device such as an iPad or iPhone:

Settings > [your name] > Set Up Family Sharing... > Get Started > Continue > Continue >

Then HERE is how to change your payment method away from PayPal:
SOLUTION:

On the "Update Your Billing Information" screen, tap Go to Settings
Tap your Apple ID
Tap View Apple ID
Tap Payment Information
Either choose Credit/Debit Card or None
(If you're setting up Family Sharing, you'll have to choose and add a Credit/Debit Card)
Enter CC Information
Tap Done
Tap Done in Account Settings
Go through the Family Sharing Setup again (at the top of this post)
You will be able to proceed past the Payment Method screen now, and you can change your payment method back after you set up your family!

I have this same issue and getting to actually TALK to someone at apple about this is SO frustrating. I can't even set UP family sharing because I have PayPal in the payment method (unchangeable).

I was once a part of family sharing, and now I am divorced from the family organizer who simply removed me from family sharing. But now I am crippled and can't add my kids to my family sharing!
