Sort folders and files in alphabetical order

Till El Capitan I had my windows in view list and in alphabetical order,

without having folders first and files after as it is now in Sierra.

I have tried several combinations but I cannot go back as it was before.

There was a great convenience in the mixed list: in an open window with a long list, I could type the starting letter of a file or a folder and jumping straight to it or closer if there where many starting with the same letter.

Now doesn't work because folders and files are separated and I cannot get to the file I need, it just goes to the folders . Is there any trick to obtain the same result?
