I have a question. My phone sounds like it's underwater when I call people. I looked it up and it says I need a new microphone. It wasn't my fault. I was in the middle of a Skype call when it cut out. My friend said they couldn't hear me. My mom can't hear me when she calls and neither can my dad. If I contact Apple support would they charge me. It's been after the 90 day mark

Follow the instructions here, including contacting Apple Support (mail-in service may be available, if required), making another Genius Bar reservation or visiting an Apple Authorised Service Provider if necessary:
Get help with the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
If you are currently using Voice over LTE (VoLTE), then turning it off may help to improve the sound quality during calls:
If call quality improves as a result of making the change, contact your carrier for assistance with the issue.

Apple will have to determine the issue cause and if there is a cost to repair or a cost for support. Go to Contact Apple Support and they can help and give you the information you need. No onre here can speak on behalf of Apple.
