Why can't I sign into iMessage and FaceTime?

When I try to sign into my iMessage and FaceTime on my Mac, it says that there is an error, and this is happening with both my iMessage and FaceTime. What can I do to fix it, or do I just have to try again later? I can't make a new Apple ID, I'm already signed up with my email.
