forgot iCloud security key

hi there, I'm unable to access my files/folders that I used to save on the desktop of my MBP. I have 2 devices activated for iCloud- my iPhone + MBP. I would ned help with enabling access on both devices. I have forgotten my iCloud security key and don't know how to authorise my MBP again. thanks

If by "iCloud security key" you are referring to the 14-character Recovery Key no one, including Apple, will be able to help you recover it.

So, let's back track a bit. Can you successfully log into Manage your Apple ID with the Apple ID you are using with these Macs? Do you have either two-step verification or two-factor authentication enabled on your Apple ID account?
