iPhone 7 Plus huge battery drain overnight

Hi! I`ve got an issue with my iPhone 7 Plus. Two days ago in the late evening my iPhone had about 75% battery, then I turned on the Airplane Mode(everything else like WiFi, Bluetooth etc. were off). I woke up in the morning the next day, took my iPhone, which had only 25%. Why has the battery percentage been so much down overnight? It had happened to me before twice(about 2 months ago), I don't use iOS 11 beta, I have always been using official iOS 10(currently my iPhone runs 10.3.3). I charge my iPhone with original both cable and charger, background refreshing is completely off. Why is that happening? It rarely happens, but happens. By the way, I had never had a problem like this on any other iPhone, neither 4, 5s nor 6s Plus. I had set the iPhone up as a new one, no restoring a backup from iCloud/iTunes.

Any suggestions?

Hi, I have the same issue with my iPhone 7 Plus, when I purchased it, it was perfect with charge and battery, but one night it was fully discharged since my cable was not working to recharge my phone and it went off and I just tried to turn it on to take a number but at the time it asked for code, it went off again, and since that I leave it with 100% charge at bed time and after almost 7 hours with all apps turned of including wifi & 3G, I get with with only 40% charge and that also sinks like in minutes if I start using my phone. any idea if my batter is no longer healthy??

Thanks.

I can just rephrase...i have that problem as well...no **** idea why it's happening....i tried so many ways, that i'm slowly loosing a point where I started and see no light in the end of the tunnel.

This is literally **** and by that I mean deep ****...so grab your advisory board dear @apple and sit down, cause your sale figures may look stable just until the very moment this portion of unreliability pour over the top of a glass...

I'am wondering about one thing...it's not that Apple users have to hassle through internet like jerks in matter of searching for answer for a creepy situation like this, BUT, if ever Android users have been facing **** that sticky, as we do...and please Apple...have been using your products since ever...BUT..and please read this....that does not implicate, I have no brain and wallet dangerously close to explosion caused by Ben Franklin not fitting in...JUST keep Steve Legacy...and if building a **** **** big "campus" or whatever that is, should help You...ok...go ahead...build patiently two of them...peace

Yes, I am using Facebook app, but how this app would have drained battery that much if there had been no Internet connection? In the "Battery" section in Settings there was no indication that Facebook would be responsible for this.

I also had been using Facebook on my previous iPhone, never something like that happened. The worst thing is that it rarely happens, difficult to catch it.

I put that the wrong way: I have installed the CoconutBattery on my Mac mini, connected the iPhone to the Mac and checked the battery of the iPhone and it seems to be in a perfect condition(99,8% original capacity). IMO, the battery drain is nothing to do with the battery, rather with the logic board. My acquaintance had had a similar issue with the battery drain, but it had been constant, the battery had lasted 3 hours from 100% to 0%, the battery also seemed to be OK, Apple Support claimed that everything is fine in terms of the hardware. He went to the Apple Authorised Service Provider and the iPhone has been replaced. It hasn't occurred anymore.

I've been holding off on Uodating my iPhone 7 to 10.3.3 basically because I'm having laptop problems and always update through iTunes. I finally set it to update via WiFi. I've had nothing but issues with battery since then. My phone is 8 months old and this is ridiculous. For three days since I've updated iOS, my battery drains 10-20% within a few hours with light texting. I used to go to bed at 100% and wake up at 100% or maybe 99%. I'm now waking up to 85%. Looking through settings; nothing was turned on that wasn't prior to update. I even turned more things off. Basically, my very expensive phone doesn't take advantage of the great things Apple claims this can do as I have almost everything turned off to save battery.

Anyone know if updating iOS via WiFi when you receive the note on the phone is any different from physically hooking it up

To a computer and updating via iTunes? I've found forum after forum on this battery issue. I'm typing really only for Apple to see there is another person with the problem so they can resolve.

Yes. I'm having the battery drain issue since I bought iphone 7 plus a few days ago On the first day I had my phone, I power off the phone after 100% charge before noon. 5 hours later, i touched the phone and noted that it was hot. To my horror, the battery drained to 35%. Nothing was activated. Bluetooth, background refresh, wifi, mobile data, location were not on. I also did not install the Facebook app. This is ridiculous! I went to the Apple Approved repair centre. They said there is nothing wrong with the battery and hardware. Probably it is the software which was giving the problem. Hence, they did a reformat on my phone. there is no improvement at all. I'm gonna visit the Apple repair centre again and see what they have to say. I'm very upset about it!
