Roxio Toast 16, & 15 do not in launch in Sierra

I have a new MacBook Pro late 2016 (Touchbar) and bought Roxio 15, and 16 and I get to work if not activating iTunes meaning as long I have not used iTunes once it works. But when I use iTunes it works. Roxio in my opinion is selling Toast 15, & 16 knowingly that is does't work. It works if I create another admin account but as soon I boot up iTunes for the first time Toast it doesn't launch.

I called tech support to no avail, some guy that calls himself Jestoni has no clue.

Any ideas?

So I take it you bought your Toast on the app store? I would check on their support website about the Toast versions and their system requirements. I am still using an old Toast version (and fortunately it still works) installed via DVD. I know that there have been problems with some of their versions not working or throwing hiccups with the latest OS versions, so check their support first.

And yes, some think it is outdated and obsolete, but there are plenty of people in the world who do not have the capabilities to watch something except using their DVD player and their TV. And yes, I still burn movies to DVDs as I prefer watching my "masterpieces" on a large screen HD TV sitting in a comfortable recliner instead of a computer screen.

15, & 16, do not work in Sierra, and it's poorly written, all due respect it's written in the country where they make iPhones. Poor coders! Also Roxio used to make good stuff when they spun off from Adaptec.

Not anymore Roxio knowingly sells this product saying it works with the latest MacBook Pros, with touchbar. I had the same problem with 15, and thier tech support is worthless. I bought it directly from Roxio.

I need solutions here thought someone here would offer a workaround or a fix. So far just commentary and conjecture.

How long did you wait for Toast to open?

I had to wait at least half an hour. Activity Monitor showed Toast as not responding BUT in the open files and Ports tab I could see right at the bottom each of my iTunes song files listed one by one. No wonder it took so long to open. Doesn't get better on subsequent opens either. It's like opening windows in the morning. Startup and go get a coffee.

I had trouble installing Toast 16 in the first place. Tech support gave me list of what to delete. At least that got Toast 16 running. But didn't leave previous versions installed as a fallback.
