Apple Watch Timer Does Not Sound

I've got an Apple Watch S1 on 3.2.3 and I use timers on it throughout the day. I notice intermittently, and seemingly more frequently, when the timer stops, the watch does not vibrate, and if on ring, does not make noise.

I have noticed this over the last few versions of WatchOS, however, it seems to be getting worse.

If anyone has tips or tricks to resolve this, they would be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed this same problem myself recently. Not always, but quite often, my watch timer does not vibrate anymore. If I happen to look down I'll see the "Timer Done" message on the watch. Restarting my watch (and phone) has not helped. I'm about 95% sure that these problems started around the same time that I got my AirPods. I've had my watch for 2 years and never had this problem until the last month, roughly when I bought the AirPods. I've never paired my AirPods to my watch, but do use them on my iPhone and MacBook. I've noticed that when my phone and AirPods are connected, and if I'm listening to music on my iPhone (through AirPods), then the watch timer will pause my music. I suspect there's a bug having to do with this - the watch not vibrating because it thinks it's alerting me through my AirPods, even though it isn't.

I should mention all other vibrating functions of my watch work fine, so it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.
