Auto font activation using Automator and FontBook

Is it possible to create the same thing as Suitcases font Auto-activation plugin for InDesign, but using FontBook and Automator? We are trying to get rid of Suitcase and use Font Book as font management, but need a way to activate and deactivate the fonts on the fly.
