Slow working and frequent hanging of MacBook pro

Hello,

i had purchased the MacBook Pro last year in the month of August and it is still in the warranty period. But the problem that i am facing now days is that its getting hanged all the time and also the efficiency or what i can say the speed of the laptop is slow.

Please suggest some techniques as to how i can increase the speed of the laptop.
