iPhone 5S speak to text button on keyboard vanished.

I've been using speak to text for several months, because I've been having a few eye surgeries, and still can't see the keyboard even with large/bold font. About 4 days ago, the button on the keyboard with the microphone icon vanished. I took the phone to Verizon, but they had no idea why it would just disappear. Spoke with tech support while going through all of the settings with them. No cure found. Help? My vision is getting worse with increased internal bleeding and retinal detachment. I need the speak to text function back desperately!!

That setting isn't there. I can't find "dictation" in the settings anywhere. I've been using the speak to text button on the keyboard for awhile, in using Facebook, email and text messaging. Why the button is gone all of a sudden seems to be a huge mystery to everyone. I don't even see any Siri settings anymore, but she's there when I ask her anything. I saw an old post in here about the speak to text function disappearing on the iPhone 4s, but mine is a 5s. Very weird and frustrating. I've always used the English keyboard, and the speak button was always right there where the "Z" key is, above the emoji key.

1. Dictation isn't supported on some languages, which keyboard language are you using?

2. Dictation isn't supported on 3ʳᵈ party keyboard downloaded from the App Store, are you using a downloaded custom keyboard? or an Apple stock keyboard?

You can check this in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards

What keyboards do you see there?

And

Settings → General → Keyboard → Enable Dictation = ON
