Update iPad Air 2/ iTunes help please.

Read an alert that iOS update was recommended for mobile devices because of a massive security hole. Basically anyone can take over your device via wi-fi. So I went to the updates section and tried.

Tried installing update via the iPad. No go.

Tried installing update via computer. No go.

Any ideas? In both cases I have little or no error details.

I have attached screenshots and hope that helps.

Before you ask, modern systems, lots of memory available. I have iTunes on more than one computer with more one OS. And yes this update doesn't work on any of them.

Please help! 🙂

Sppecifically this section:

Remove and download the iOS update again

If you still can't install the latest version of iOS, try downloading the update again:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage. Under Storage tap Manage Storage.
  2. Find the iOS update in the list of apps.
  3. Tap the iOS update, then tap Delete Update.
  4. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and download the latest iOS update.

If you don’t see the update in the list of apps or if the issue happens again, you need to update your device with iTunes.
