Carplay in my 2015 Hyundai Sonata works with my iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 but not with my iPhone 7 128gb. I have ios 10.3.3, and the latest carplay in my 2015 Hyundai Sonata. Anyone else having this issue?

I have a 2015 Hyundai Sonata with the latest release of carplay and an iPhone 7 128GB running IOS 10.3.3. When I plug in the iPhone using the USB cord, the phone wont charge and the carplay icon on the screen stays grayed out. I am able to connect my iPhone 7 128GB using Bluetooth and the carplay button on the steering wheel. When i plug in my iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, Bluetooth is deactivated, carplay icon goes green, and the phone is able to charge.
