2 drips of water damaged trackpad

Hi everyone, last night I finished showering and came out using my MacBook Pro without completely drying my hair, about 2 drips of water fell on the trackpad and maybe 2 on the keyboard too, and then the trackpad started to go crazy the cursor started moving crazily and clicking on everything, I shut down the laptop and turned on again and the cursor was still in frenzy mode so I shut it down again and in the next morning it got a little bit better but still hard to use, then I reinstalled the system twice and it eventually become normal again, so the question is is this a normal phenomenon when u drip some water on the trackpad or it is water damaged already?

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.5)

It is quite likely you have damaged both items. There is no 'normal' phenomenon with liquids and electronic items which simply don't sit well together. You may have fixed it for now but when the machine gets warm the effects may show in a day or two or maybe a month. It's not just the water, especially as far as a bath is concerned. It is what may be in it that might harden with warmth and cause a short circuit.

All you can do is use it as you can but be prepared for further problems. You never know. you may have been lucky.

Once I fell asleep on my Dell laptop with my mouth wide open next to the touchpad. I little bit of my saliva destroyed the motherboard and I had to buy a new computer 😕 😊 I still remember how I was ashamed to explain the cause of the short circuit to my IT specialist. 😝
