OA 10.12.6 disables Nvidia GTX 980 video card and safari- please help. I went back to 10.12.5 and everything isfine now

Don't know what your issue might be. I also have a 5,1 cMP. Mine has a Gigabyte MVC flashed GTX 1080. No issues for me running Sierra 10.12.6. Safari also working fine. I'm assuming you have updated the Nvidia Web Driver with this:
