Question

How to use old password for apple id? (old password = passwords used in the past)

I tried to log in on iCloud. For no apparent reason, it asked me to change my password!

I try to use my old password and it doesn't let me use the same password (understandable).

So I use a different password and now when I try to change it back to the old one, it won't let me reset to the password used in the past!

I have been using the same password for years and I would hate using a new password for no reason!

Any suggestions?

You can't use a password that you've used in the past year : Change your Apple ID password - Apple Support

When you create a new password, keep the following in mind:

Your new Apple ID password must contain at least eight characters, a number, an uppercase letter, and a lowercase letter.

You can't use spaces, the same character three times in a row, your Apple ID, or a password you've used in the last year.

You can try contacting iTunes Support, but it's probably very doubtful that they will be able to do anything

Can nothing be done? Like contacting Apple Support or anything?

It is the most annoying thing apple has done yet for me. There was no reason to prompt me for a new password in the first place!
