I am trying to create a slideshow from my Hawaiian trip photos using my iPhone 6s, however when I select "What's on Your Mind" on the initial Facebook Page, the slideshow item/line is not shown as an option. My son has an iPhone 6 and sees this as an option. Also, is there a way to post a slideshow on Facebook using my MAC. I have not found anything helpful on Facebook Help to solve this problem.

These are good question to ask Facebook or look at their support site.
iPhone 6S has no slideshow option on Facebook
