Macbook Pro 2016 Rubber Seal Sticking?

Hey guys,

I think this issue was from the beginning when I bought my new Macbook pro 2016 (2 months ago). However, I thought I was being too paranoid so I ignored it. When I met with two friends who have the same model and there was no issue with their macbooks.

So here's the deal: When I open/close the lid, I hear the sticking/clicking sound as if the rubber seal sticks to the metal body. I found the source, which is the rubber seal at the bottom of the screen. When I press it with a pencil, it makes a crunching sound. However, it doesn't seem to be coming off.

When I close/open the lid a few times, the sounds goes away, but after a while, it comes back.

Have you had this issue with your MacBook? Apple told me that they would replace the whole display. I'm not sure if it's worth it. Maybe it would go away. It annoys me of course, because, well, you pay the premium not for this.

Let me know your thoughts.
