Disable firewall for Outgoing Connection for specific application

Hi,

With regard to Apple OS El Capitan or other versions in general, there are options to disable the firewall completely or block / allow incoming connection.

Is there an option to disable firewall for Outgoing Connection for specific application.

I am having a specific application which is trying to send a file transfer using a IM chat application and the OS is blocking it (as verified over packet trace)

Any inputs are appreciated!

Here you should find the reply to your question: OS X El Capitan: Prevent unwanted connections by using a firewall:

To specify additional security settings, click Firewall Options and do any of the following:

Allow only specified apps and services to connect: Click the Add button , then select the app or service in the dialog that appears.

I have tried adding the application to the firewall list, however the outgoing file transfer is still blocked.

Tried disabling the Firewall completely, and transfer works fine... however i do not want to disable Firewall and allow only the IM client to be able to send the file / outbound connection.
