Ignore SSL client certificate in Safari?

Hello,

I wanted to bring up a discussion again which dates back to October 2013 already. I am still facing the client certificate issue in Safari mentioned there:

Ignore SSL Certificate (The page requires a valid ssl client certificate)

Is there any clue if there is a plan to fix this issue? It is hard to believe for me that this is known for such a long time with obviously no solution.

Actually this is preventing me to do productive work in Safari and I constantly have to switch between two browsers. Something I want to avoid as I would like to keep my bookmarks / logon credentials at one place.

Does anyone know more?

Thank you!

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.5)
