MacBook Pro 2017 Dual Monitor Setup

Just got a MacBook Pro 2017 and looking for the easiest way to hook up dual monitors while the lid is closed.

Currently I have the 2 thunderbolt 3 connections connected to it, but I also have to have power running to it since the lid is closed. I found a couple 3rd party adapters/hubs but it seems like they work best with dual monitors if the lid is opened. Does anyone else have 2 monitors with the lid closed and has a better idea? The hubs I've seen require HDMI and Thuderbolt 3 for dual display, which is fine, but then you'd need to plug power into the MBP since the hubs dont supply power to the Mac.

I know efficient it can be to have more than one monitor setup with your computer and have some information that can help with this. I understand that you would like to use an external hub but for best results, you'll want to connect to your MacBook Pro directly.
