iPhone slower after iOS 10.3.3 installed

I installed the updated iOS on my iPhone- version 10.3.3 in iPhone 7 plus. Since then, my iPhone is slower than usual. I tried to shut down the phone, closed all background applications, nothing changed. Any tips or updates planned ?

Hello EmilFournier,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that after a recent update, your iPhone is behaving slower than expected. You've tried some great steps so far. I'm happy to help.

I recommend reinstalling iOS with iTunes. This can resolve possible software issues. When reinstalling iOS, iTunes will completely remove your current software and install a fresh updated version. iTunes will try to do this without removing data. It's very important to make sure you have a recent backup before trying this step.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Follow the steps in the link below to reinstall iOS with iTunes:

Have a great day!

Good afternoon. So i had my battery replaced for my iphone 6s plus. Suddenly it became so slow especially when opening apps and using the 3d touch, it bugs and lags almost every time. When i charge my phone, it becomes fast again. Charging my iphone is the only way to solve the bug but when unplugged again, still lags. I Restored my phone and nothing helped. Any thoughts about this? What should I do? My iphone is on ios 10.3.3

So has mine. It's the new iOS file system I think. When I power cycle off then on, it literally takes forever for my 7 Plus to come back on. I was on 10.2 and there's a HUGE difference in speed! Thanks Apple!

If it's the new iOS file system then over a half billion phones would have the problem, including mine. And I've seen no indication that it is slower on my 7 Plus, and very few posts reporting a speed problem. The new file system is designed to make it faster, not slower, so you most likely have some other problem. You should try the troubleshooting step posted as the first reply to this thread.

One thing that will slow down iOS is if you are in the habit of force-closing apps by double-pressing the HOME button and swiping them up. I hope you are not doing that.

are u sure.... of that closing all apps....???suddenly after using fone slows the phone??? bcoz i do that...but whats the problem if we close all the apps immedietly

Absolutely. I currently have around 120 apps that show when I double-press the HOME button. But I also have some authority figures on the subject:

Our organization has over 480 Iphones in use; all of them were updated after the last update was available. The performance has suffered on all the phones. Freezing, laggy, text & talk to text is next to unusable now, and the screen often either freezes or bounces around making it difficult to pinpoint what you want. These were all the common complaints.

To make matters worse. My gf who has the same phone and purchased at the same time, didn't install the update, and her phone is miraculously fine.

Very shady practices from apple. Suffice to say, our company is dumping Apple products after this one. Come spring when it's time to renew the phones, it won't be Apple
