Problem using Apple Pay at Casey’s

I seem to have an issue using Apple Pay at Casey’s with both my iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch. It is the only store that it does not work at. When I hold my phone near the reader my cards show up as normal but after scanning my finger it just says to “Hold Near reader”. It never was an issue before a couple months ago. I figured it was an issue with Casey’s since I never have a problem elsewhere. All the Casey’s employees have stated they see others use it without issue. Any ideas? I wouldn’t think it’s a hardware issue on my end, or it would give me problems whenever else I use it.

It may help to check that you are following the instructions here for using Apple Pay in stores, including holding your device close to (within 1 inch of) the reader:

You can also report failed payment attempts to Apple. The feedback form enables you to report issues with specific merchants, transactions and payment cards:
