Mac stuck loading after login

Please help me fix my computer! It gets stuck on the spinning ball after I log in. The dock and the bar at the top load, but my desktop files do not, and my computer becomes unresponsive. So far, I’ve run Disk Utility’s First Aid function on my hard drive, booted in Safe Mode, and tried to boot again normally, but it didn’t resolve the issue, so I just copied my important files onto my external hard drive while in Safe Mode. Safe Mode does work, but it's very slow and obviously the functionality is limited.

I ran etrecheck to see if I could get some help from all of you. Also, etrecheck wasn’t able to figure out what OS I have, but it’s Sierra 10.12.6. Here’s the report:
