koppelingsrecord ontbreekt iPad1

Link record missing iPad1

I have one more iPad 1 and suddenly he starts to argue that he has to be linked to iTunes. However, if I do, he reports that the "link record" is missing. Someone who knows how to solve that? Have tried two Macs on it, both give the same message.

System version of the iPad I do not know because I no longer get up ;-(

Make sure you download and install the latest version of iTunes, currently 12.6.2: https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Is this iPad 1ˢᵗ generation running ios 5.1.1? It might not be supported anymore.
