No it's not ok. I got scammed right after. I have had to change my CC 3 times since Oct.
The problem is they have your SS#. You need to purchase the credit score protection and or check your credit score frequently. So far it's been ok on that front. Changing passwords on all accounts that have money associated with them.
I think you had better re-cap on what you told them and change the relevant passwords and financial details. And quick.
yes just got this email. i responded to it thinking that it was a legit. now after talking with apple i have found it to be a phish. now they have my info and will have to put all kinds of blocks in place.
Don’t respond to this email. It’s a phishing attempt. Report this scam to Apple: reportphishing@apple.com
You will find more information about phishing attempts here:
They've increased the amount as a scare tactic, I presume. Now it is $335.99.
What did you have to do & who did you have to contact? The same thing just happened to me. I changed my password already
Uff... i just received an email just like that and dumb me I answered to all the questions ... did anything happened to you after that?
I hope everything is fine for you so far
I got the same thing!! It said" [Apple Disabled] Fraud Activity:Please review your receipt from Apple" Then it countinued to say that someone bought a Virtual Trainer Pro from a Sweden provider and that the renewal for it was $35.99. I pressed on the link that it had to cancel it labeled "Itunes payment cancellation Form" but it brought me to a page saying that this link was expired and that I had to log into a weird website that wasn't even connected to Apple.
I reported this to reportphishing@apple.com
Are they suppose to respond back ?
I got the same email that purported to charge me $35.99 (I think) for a one year subscription renewal. The email used was not the one associated with my Apple ID. Links went to a wierd site and required a new account. I reported to Apple. I do not have the apps nor have I ever purchased one of the several beginning with Virtual Trainer PRO :
No.
Thank you!! So I can just delete the email and forget about it ?
Yes, you can and should.
