How to export non-muted tracks

I'm working with several tracks and need to export only two tracks at a time (not as separate files, but together)...the rest i have muted. The problem is that when the tracks are exported, the length of the export is the longest track I have in the project (even if it's muted), rather than just the two tracks I'm exporting. Is there any way to make garageband only export the length of the non-muted tracks?

GarageBand 10, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

turn the Cycle Region button on:

(note: in this screenShot the button is off)

stretch the yellow bar to exactly encompass the duration you want exported:

tick the Export Cycle area tickyBox when exporting:

BTW, you can also Solo the tracks you want, rather than muting all the tracks you don't want
