Aperture 3.6 and Nikon D7500 RAW Support
Aperture can't seem to read Nikon D7500 RAW files. How do I work around this or is a patch forthcoming?

The camera is not yet supported in macOS 10.12. 6 Sierra. Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 10 and macOS Sierra - Apple Support
But there is no use to wait for an update for Aperture's RAW support. None of the RAW Support released by Apple with Sierra since macOS 10.12.2 is recognized by Aperture. All newer RAW supports are working in newer applications, for example Photos for Mac and other applications updated for Sierra, but not with Aperture.
Develop the RAW files in the software that came with your Nikon and convert it to TIFF and use it in Aperture. Once Apple releases the RAW support you can do the RAW development in other applications, for example in Photos for Mac. Or migrate to another professional software like Lightroom.
Download and install Adobe DNG Converter, this version 9.12 supports the D7500, http://supportdownloads.adobe.com/detail.jsp?ftpID=6175
Once converted the images will be seen by Aperture.
Oh and it is free.
