How to save screenshots in Mac OSX and save it in PHOTOS app

Use the procedure to save screenshots to a particular folder.

Then add a folder action to this folder, that will automatically import any photo added to this folder to Photos.

This User Tip explains how to turn a folder into an auto import folder for Photos using an Automator service:

You can not ever "save" anything to Photos for Mac - you must import items to Photos and as far as I know APple does not offer that option for screen shots - tell them what you want - Product Feedback - Apple

You might try saving to ~/Pictures/"Photo Library". Note: I haven't tested this myself.

Larry was not very clear. "Photo Library" is a package, and cannot be saved to! This is spectacularly bad advice which could break your photo library.

Drag the screenshots, en masse if needed, to the Photos app in the dock and assign an album.
