My phone number isn't working

I got a new phone about a month ago (iPhone SE) I backed everything up from my old phone (5S). I'm not able to call or receive any text messages to my number, only to my iCloud address. When I go to Settings then to Phone it shows my phone number as Unknown and there's no right arrow to edit it. I've tried disabling FaceTime and Messages because I've read that that can fix the problem but when it says You Can be Reached By FaceTime it just shows my number refreshing. There's only a check by my iCloud. I'm very frustrated I've tried everything I can think of. I've restarted and refreshed my phone and have erased all the settings as well and nothing helps. Any ideas??

Hi there, sgdensham!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having issues after changing your mobile number for your iPhone. The good news is Apple has a couple of article that would be useful to check out for resolving the issues. First, check out this article with steps to follow If you can‘t make or receive calls on your iPhone . These steps will help you be able to resolve issues with getting calls to your phone number properly.

Next, for the issue with attaching the new phone number to FaceTime and Messages, check out this article to Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime .

Both articles have great steps along with what to do next if you continue having issues with your device.

Have a great day!
