Resetting Home Screen Layout to get Messages icon

If I Reset Home Screen Layout from General Settings on my iPhone in order to get my Messages icon back, will that result in deleting all the other icons that are not factory preset?

iPhone 4S, iOS 10.3.3

Hello Marcar39,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I understand you are concerned about resetting your Home screen, and I have some information that may help.

While resetting the Home screen Layout will not delete any of your installed app icons, it will reset the folders and locations of them on the screen, so you may have to re-arrange them to your preference after resetting.

Thank you, Jeremy. After restarting the phone as described in your link, I still did not show the Messages icon on my home page. So I did Reset Home Screen Layout in General Settings, and it worked! And I didn't lose all those other icons! You really made my day! 🙂
