Is this Genuine?

We've noticed that you're using Onavo Extend. On Aug 22, 2017, we will stop supporting the Onavo Extend apps.

or is it a scam?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10.3.3, onavo extend

the app is no longer available on the App Store. Best to delete it now and look for an alternative app, if you still need such functionality. Just be careful, there are a lot of VPN scams going on right now.

I just came across this app and will give it a try.

Data Compress: Saves you money on the App Store

I loved using Onavo Extend back before Facebook bought them and probably killed off the app.

Anyone familiar with any other non-scam app that provide the same data compression capability as (the now discontinued) Onavo Extend?
