Hi
Turn your router off for 20 /30 seconds when it's back on go to settings on iPhone down to reset Reset network settings After reset enter your router wireless key.
Then try wifi.

Try relocating your router to the. Center of your house if possible. You can also change your channel on the router to channel 1 not set to auto there is less traffic on this channel. Also try resetting your network settings. One more thing might help? Change your dns settings on your phone to google DNS 8.8.8.8. Do this by clicking on wifi info button. And change DNS settings.
If resetting you router does not work, hop on the phone with your wireless provider. It will conduct a free home visit at your convenience. At least in NY it will, but it should anywhere.
Be cautious with the other advice. The optimal spot for my router was counterintuitive. Last time TW/Spectrum came for a visit I was certain I had unplugged or dislodged something and it turned out to be a big issue only they could solve. It's impossible to know.
The answer to your question should be zero, assuming your pay for wifi and are trying to connect from home or want to connect where there is wifi. Have you tried going to a location, like a Starbucks, to check either it is a hardware issue v connectivity issue?
how much will it cost to fix my wifi on my iphone? itnwomt connect until i get close to the modem
