Phone disabled & itunes error 0xE8000015

Same happened to me.

Whilst the iPhone 6 is plugged it to iTunes, press both the power button and the home button.

I then got a window come up on the pc saying “cannot connect to phone, do you want to restore?”

I clicked yes and bobs your uncle, it went back to factory settings.

I have a same problem. It happened this week. After updating various drivers and updating iTunes to latest version, iTunes recognizes my iPhone 6... but the iPhone 7, which is disabled is still not being identified. I get this message when iPhone 7 is connected - "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. An unknown error occurred (0xE8000015)"

The same issue with me. The problem emerges after I clicked on the 'SOS' option unknowingly. Soon after that the fingerprint sensor didn't worked and when I restarted my phone it shows as "iphone disabled, connect to itunes".

Iphone6 iOS 11.0.3 Phone disabled & itunes error 0xE8000015 after entering incorrect passcode too many times. Have connected to iTunes in recovery mode, downloaded 2.54GB OS which seemed to install ok on my device. Then comes up again 'iphone disabled' and iTunes with same error code. I know the password to the Apple account the phone is signed in with but there is nowhere to enter it. The phone is not signed into 'find my iphone' so cannot erase it remotely. Thi nk I need Apple Support assistance. HELP!

you locked your phone since you entered wrong passcode too many times.

Apple will ask you to restore your phone.

Which my case is different, i did not enter wrong passcode, the Phone locked straight after restart.

So I've never synced my phone with itunes but I locked it (its a hand me down from my brother) and it says "iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes"

I installed itunes on a windows 10 laptop, connected my iphone but I get the error 0xE8000015

my computer knows its an iphone and everything is up to date

Does anyone know how I can unlock the phone/fix the error.

Note: the people at the phone store just said to connect it to itunes

I experienced the same issue.

After upgrade to ios11, touchid stopped working, not able to add new fingerprint, removed all existing fingerprint, restart device, iPhone is disabled.

Do you get solution, and apply only suggest to restore.

How many people are experiencing the same issues? we need apple to fix it.

Yep. you're correct. Even though it hadn't been backed up. Hard reset, selected restore and it came up with another error code, had a hiccup and booted up as a new phone. Duh.
